Privacy

How I look after your information.

I'm Sol Mehta-Slade, and I run The Alt Academy from Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire. This page explains what I collect through this website, why, and what your choices are. I've kept it short and in plain English.

What I collect, and why

  • The contact form: your name, email and message, so I can reply to you.
  • The free resources: your name and email, plus your answers if you came through the Start here questions, so I can send the resources and follow up on them.
  • Booking a call: this uses Google Calendar's booking page, so Google receives the details you enter there.
  • WhatsApp, phone and email: if you get in touch that way, I see whatever you send me.

Where it goes

Form submissions are collected through Netlify, which hosts this website. I only use what you share to reply to you, to send what you asked for and, if you asked for the free resources, to follow up on them. I don't sell your information.

Other services you may meet

This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google may receive your IP address when a page loads. My newsletter, At Capacity, lives on LinkedIn, so if you subscribe there, LinkedIn's own privacy terms apply.

How long I keep it

I keep messages and form submissions only for as long as I need them to reply and follow up, and then I delete them.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or object to how I use it. Email sol@thealtacademy.co.uk and I'll get back to you. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
